PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS is joining with cancer hospital and research institute CITY OF HOPE to launch a new channel on XM SATELLITE RADIO, THE PINK CHANNEL. The new station, airing on XM channel 24 starting TODAY (8/18) and replacing the SUNNY channel, will feature pop hits from the '70s, '80s and '90s, as well as segments on health and wellness, personal development, trend reports and more.
Celebrity hosts will appear weekly to report on CITY OF HOPE programs and research and to share personal stories and read listener dedications, with JORDIN SPARKS, OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN, actress ANDREA EVANS, fitness expert and KFI-A/LOS ANGELES weekender JILLIAN MICHAELS, and PINK among the upcoming guest hosts.
THE PINK CHANNEL creator DEBBI PETRASEK BROWN said, "Cancer touches so many lives, either directly or indirectly, making THE PINK CHANNEL relevant to women everywhere, every day. As the first national media outlet committed to supporting the fight against cancer 24/7/365, we're proud to partner with CITY OF HOPE to create a new paradigm in the world of cause marketing."
"THE PINK CHANNEL is an important next step in the fight against cancer," said CITY OF HOPE Chief Medical Officer ALEXANDRA LEVINE, MD. "We're excited to share our research breakthroughs with listeners and to give voice to survivors who remind us that making cancer a curable and ultimately preventable disease is within our reach. CITY OF HOPE is pleased to partner with PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS on this innovative concept and to empower listeners across the country to become active participants in the search for a cure."
