Sonshine Celebrates Record Year

The 27th annual SONSHINE FESTIVAL concluded its 2008 event at the WILLMAR CIVIC CENTER in WILLMAR, MN. While festival and event attendance seemed to be on the downturn this season, SONSHINE experience on the best years in history with 20,000 fans in attendance at the weekend's events.

Festival organizers added a fourth night to the event which included a free concert intended as a “thank you” to the community. The concert was also a success as over 15,000 people attended the performance which included a performance by JARS OF CLAY.

“We want to thank everyone who came out and made SONSHINE FESTIVAL 2008 one of our biggest years ever!” said SONSHINE co-director MICHAEL SCANLAND. “We had a great success with our new free night on WEDNESDAY. All who attended were blessed with the music of JARS OF CLAY. It is the least we can do to thank our loyal supporters for the last 27 years. We look forward to continuing the tradition with another free WEDNESDAY night performance in 2009!”
