Report: SBS Tightens Belt In Puerto Rico ... Group-wide Cuts Next?

A PUERTO RICAN newspaper is reporting that SBS has laid off 36 people at its PUERTO RICO cluster in light of a soft economic situation. Furthermore, EL VOCERO notes that the layoffs are just part of a larger, group-wide downsizing that could result in the loss of over of 200 persons.

SBS has stations in NEW YORK, LOS ANGELES, CHICAGO and MIAMI. Details on the downsizing in other markets have yet to emerge.
