ASTRAL MEDIA RADIO has flipped Country CHAM-A (HAMILTON'S COUNTRY LEGEND)/HAMILTON, ON to Talk as TALK 820. JAON FARR and JODI GASKILL are handling mornings for the new format, with MIKE NABUURS in middays, News Dir. ROBIN FOLEY doing a half-hour news block at noon, and DAVE SHUTTLEWORTH in afternoons.
The syndicated "PRIME TIME SPORTS WITH BOB MCCOWN" is airing at 6p, with local JOHN BIGGS 7-9p, a "best of" slot 9-10p, and WESTWOOD ONE's "COAST TO COAST AM" with GEORGE NOORY at 10p. WESTWOOD ONE's DENNIS MILLER and PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS' LEO LAPORTE and BOB COSTAS shows will air on weekends.
"820 CHAM has a very successful history, however it was time to make the switch to a more interactive format that truly reflects the thoughts, opinions and attitudes of HAMILTON listeners," said cluster VP/GM TOM COOKE.
The station continues as the home of HAMILTON BULLDOGS AHL hockey and will carry NFL coverage.
