The McCORMICK FOUNDATION's 2008 FIRE INTERVENTION RELIEF EFFORT (FIRE) raised $4.9 million for the people in CALIFORNIA who were effected by the wildfires in 2007. Part of that money came from BIG MACHINE/PEARL RECORDS artist GARTH BROOKS who donated the proceeds from five concerts held in the LOS ANGELES area in JANUARY.
Also contributing to the total were AMERICAN EXPRESS, THE LOS ANGELES TIMES, TICKETMASTER and AEG. For a listing of the grants approved by the McCORMICK FOUNDATION click here.
