HALL COMMUNICATIONS Country WCTK (CAT COUNTRY)/PROVIDENCE morning host TIM LEARY tells ALL ACCESS that the station carried off a pretty cool community service campaign to raise teddy bears. From 6-9a (ET) this morning (09/04) the station held their 'TEDDY BEAR DRIVE,' for the DAY ONE AGENCY, a local agency that assists children that have been either physically or sexually abused. They go through over 1,000 bears a year for kids and due to a recent flood, their supply was destroyed.
LEARY reported that the station raised a total of 1,300 new teddy bears for the agency and $700 in cash donations. One local company heard the promotion and sent 300 bears directly to DAY ONE. Contact TIM at timleary@wctk.com.
