Doc Walker Racks Up 5 Canadian Country Music Awards

The 2008 CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS (CCMA) were handed out last night (9/8), with MANITOBA group DOC WALKER taking home five of the eight awards that were presented, including "Group or Duo of the Year," "Album of the Year" and the coveted "Fan Choice Award."
Breakthrough artist JESSIE FARRELL won "Female Artist of the Year" and the CBC (CANADIAN BROADCASTING COMPANY)'s "Rising Star Award." BNA/NASHVILLE artist TERRI CLARK hosted the show and performed her song "In My Next Life," and BNA's KELLIE PICKLER, MIDAS/VALORY MUSIC CO. group EMERSON DRIVE, RCA newcomer CRYSTAL SHAWANDA and CAPITOL artist DIERKS BENTLEY also performed.
