DENE HALLAM of the syndicated MOBY IN THE MORNING show called ALL ACCESS to tell us a quite remarkable story that just happened. MOBY, who lives in ROSWELL, GA, spotted a copperhead snake in front of his home last night (09/08). He tried to pick up the snake, knowing that it could put a fatal snake bite on a child or pet in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, someone did get bitten ... MOBY.
MOBY’s wife rushed him to a local hospital where they have been treating him with an ‘anti-venom,’ serum. Needless to say, he missed work today (probably tomorrow, too), and filling in were his able assistants, producer RON MICHAELS and JILL KELLY.
The kicker in this story is that the last time MOBY missed a shift was in 2003. HALLAM tells us that when he was doing mornings for CBS ‘then’ Classic Rock WZGC/ATLANTA, he was doing a promotion at a zoo and missed a few days work because he was mauled by a lion.
E-mail MOBY to send him get well wishes and to tell him to stop playing with the animals; his address is moby@mobyinthemorning.com.
