BACKYARD BROADCASTING Top 40 WNKI/ELMIRA shuffled the on-air deck chairs following the departure this week of MD ERIC MCKAY. PD SCOTT FREE came down from the mountain top (where he’d been crowing about being the market leader for two years running) just long enough to give us the skinny. 

“I have moved night host CHASE DANIELS to afternoons. Our all-around utility hitter for the cluster, SHAWN 'MR.' KENNEDY takes over as night host, and I’ve finally filled that pesky midday opening -- and not with wood filler I might add -- but with an actual human, JONATHAN CHANNELL, who takes over as host immediately. 

"Oh, and did I tell you yet how we’ve been #1 in the market for two years running?  Elsewhere in the BACKYARD, our Classic Rock sister WNGZ (WINGZ 104.9) has been on the prowl for an afternoon host and we expect to make an announcement in regard to that very soon."
