Arbitron Announces Dividend

Dividend Paid

ARBITRON INC. TODAY announced that its Board of Directors has approved the payment of a quarterly cash dividend of $0.10 per common share ($0.40 per share on an annualized basis). The dividend will be paid on or about OCTOBER 1st, 2008 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on SEPTEMBER 15th, 2008.

As of AUGUST 1st, 2008, there were approximately 26,530,980 shares outstanding.
