USA TODAY is offering new fantasy sports programs to radio affiliates throughout the U.S., with distribution provided by ENVISION RADIO NETWORKS. The programs, available year round, will focus on fantasy football and baseball, and will occasionally present fantasy sports information for NBA, NASCAR and other emerging fantasy sports verticals.
Programs include "USA TODAY Fantasy Sports Minute," a daily one-minute program featuring fantasy sports insights and analysis from USA TODAY fantasy sports experts; and "USA TODAY Fantasy Sports Weekly," a weekly one-hour hosted program hosted by WTEM/WASHINGTON, DC anchor SCOTT LINN, which offers fantasy sports insights and analysis from USA TODAY fantasy sports experts and guest experts.
"As fantasy sports continues to grow, sports radio stations are looking for new ways to tap into the $4 billion industry with original content that would be of interest for their listeners," ENVISION RADIO NETWORKS CEO/Pres. DANNO WOLKOFF. "USA TODAY’s Fantasy Sports programming will provide daily content for broadcasters that can be used on-air and on their websites."
"These new programs will be cross-promoted in USA TODAY and on USATODAY.COM, as well as USA TODAY Sports Weekly magazine," USA TODAY VP/Marketing Development and Brand Strategy STEPHANIE HEDEAN said. "Marketers interested in reaching a highly engaged fantasy sports audience on-air, in print, online, and through mobile devices will have that opportunity through our cross-platform and customized sponsorships.”
