After he completes his first year as radio analyst for CHICAGO WHITE SOX baseball, STEVE STONE will move to the team's television booth to join HAWK HARRELSON as SOX TV analyst for the 2009 season. STONE inked a six year deal to make the move, with the SOX holding an option for renewal in 2015. STONE replaces DARRIN JACKSON, who has been offered STONE's radio job.
STONE was the longtime analyst on crosstown CUBS telecasts in 1983-97 and again in 2003-04 alongside the legendary HARRY CARAY and, later, CARAY's grandson CHIP. He joined CBS Sports WSCR-A (670 THE SCORE)/CHICAGO as a baseball analyst and host and joined the SOX this season. SOX games air on WSCR, TRIBUNE CW affiliate WGN-TV, WEIGEL independent WCIU-TV, and COMCAST SPORTSNET.
