NEW WORLD, L.L.C. gets fined $1,000 by the FCC for public file violations at Spanish KZTD-A/CABOT, AR. The fine was reduced from $10,000 due to inability to pay.
MARK V. AULABAUGH was also fined for public file violations at Tejano KSEY-A and Country KSEY-F/SEYMOUR, TX, receiving an $8,000 fine.
The FCC also rejected CAMERON BROADCASTING CO.'s petiton for reconsideration of the grant of change of community of license of BORDER MEDIA PARTNERS Urban KXBT (BEAT 104.9)/DRIPPING SPRINGS-AUSTIN, TX to BEE CAVE, TX. CAMERON applied for a mutually exclusive change of community of license for Country KMIL/CAMERON, TX to THRALL, TX after KXBT began operating under program test authority, claiming that KXBT's move relied illegally on a "backfill" allocation of new EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION noncommercial FM KLLR to DRIPPING SPRINGS. The Commission agreed that the move was a "backfill" but that BMP had correctly applied for a waiver.
