Soon after ONE WAY COMMUNICATIONS announced the immediate departure of SBS Regional Mexican KLAX (LA RAZA)/LOS ANGELES host RENAN ALMENDAREZ COELLO of the "EL CUCUY de la Manana" show, SBS announced that it will air the hit Chicago morning radio show "EL CHULO de la Mañana”" in its place. El Chulo broadcasts from on SBS’ sister WLEY (La Ley/Chicago.
The show is hosted by the JOAQUIN "EL CHULO" GARZA, along with sidekick RAUL BERNAL (a.k.a. "DOÑA MELA") and DENISE GARCIA. "Broadcasting a proven morning show like ‘EL CHULO de la Mañana’ in LOS ANGELES will give LA RAZA listeners a very funny, interactive morning show that covers topics that are part of everyday life: Work, family, relationships, infidelity, entertainment and community issues," SBS COO MARKO RADLOVIC said. "GARZA’s show has been a great success in numerous radio markets, and we are confident that LOS ANGELES will love ‘EL CHULO de la Mañana’ and connect with the unique style of GARZA."
According to ONE WAY's press release, EL CUCUY is going to "follow his dream" and build his own radio network. He already co-owns a radio station in NEW MEXICO. He'll also have the time to develop new talent under his record label, MICHEL PRODUCTIONS.
