Newly minted CBS RADIO/LOS ANGELES SVP/Market Manager ROY LAUGHLIN has upped KEVIN WEATHERLY to VP/Programming for CBS RADIO/L.A. Concurrently, BOB MOORE rises to Station Mgr. and DAN WEINER is elevated to SVP/Sales for the cluster.
LAUGHLIN wrote in a memo, "I am pleased to announce that legendary KROQ and JACK FM programmer KEVIN WEATHERLY has accepted the position of VP/Programming for CBS RADIO/LOS ANGELES. I’ve followed his career for years as a competitor of his; I’m just glad to now to be on the same side of his expertise. KEVIN will be the go-to person for our programmers to take full advantage of the cluster’s rating potential. Also, BOB MOORE has been elevated to the position of Station Manager for all of our SO CAL radio properties. I have known BOB for nearly two decades and am excited to have him work directly with me to optimize our cluster no matter what the need may be.
"Our already strong sales team will be now spearheaded solely by DAN WEINER as our SVP/Dir. of Sales. DAN will work in conjunction with myself and MICHAEL WEISS, CBS RADIO’s Pres./Sales in direct oversight of all the L.A. sales teams to create further synergies that will be beneficial to our advertisers, staff and listeners."
In addition, ALL ACCESS has learned that a group meeting for all full-time employees is scheduled for TOMORROW (9/23), where additional "enhancements" will be announced.
