Another ARBITRON diary controversy has broken out, this time in SAN DIEGO, where former CLEAR CHANNEL Sports KLSD-A (XTRA SPORTS 1360) morning co-host DAVE PALET's departure last week is being tied to a memo to advertisers admitting that three ARBITRON diaries were linked to a station personality's household.
PALET's representative DAVID BRODY told the SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE's JAY POSNER that PALET "denies all claims by CLEAR CHANNEL and will pursue legal action for defamation of professional reputation."
ALL ACCESS hears that ARBITRON will be reissuing revised ratings for the last two ARBITRENDS periods on FRIDAY reflecting the diary situation.
