Condolences to family and friends of longtime NEW YORK GIANTS radio color commentator and former player DICK LYNCH, who died after a long battle with cancer WEDNESDAY at 72.
LYNCH, a defensive back and NOTRE DAME product, played for the WASHINGTON REDSKINS in 1958 before joining the GIANTS, where he played from 1959 through 1966 and led the NFL in interceptions in 1963. He joined the GIANTS radio crew upon his retirement in 1967 and broadcast the games through last year, missing the preseason and first three games of this season due to his illness.
