LINCOLN FINANCIAL Top 40/Rhythmic KQKS (KS 107-5)/DENVER PD CAT COLLINS has been named PD at CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/Rhythmic KYLD (WiLD 94.9)/SAN FRANCISCO. 

COLLINS, who prior to his long run at KQKS had been APD/MD at WJMN/BOSTON, succeeds former KYLD PD JAZZY JIM ARCHER.

ARCHER, along with then morning man JOE BREEZY, lost their jobs over an APRIL FOOLS prank offering "breasts" from a DR. SANDERS (NET NEWS 8/6). It turned out they were chicken breasts from THE COLONEL from KFC, not a real breast augmentation. The winner was none too pleased about it, and made an issue of the prank.
