Verge Awards

XM CANADA has awarded $50,000 to two bands -- HEY ROSETTA! and THE WEAKERTHANS -- as part of its continuing support and promotion of emerging CANADIAN musicians.

THE VERGE MUSIC AWARDS, named for THE VERGE, channel 52 on XM satellite radio, which is dedicated to featuring CANADA’s cutting-edge indie scene, awarded Artist of the Year to THE WEAKERTHANS and Album of the Year to HEY ROSETTA!’s "Into Your Lungs." Each band walked away with $25,000 last night at the inaugural awards ceremony in TORONTO.
