Over 125 listeners of GEM STATE ADVENTIST ACADEMY Christian AC KTSY/BOISE joined the station and WORD RECORDS artist MARK SCHULTZ for the station's second "KTSY Bridge The Gap Ride." Participants rode anywhere from three to 62 miles on behalf of GENESIS WORLD MISSION and raised close to $18,000 for the organization. A second group of riders made a 350-mile ride through the edge of OREGON and southern IDAHO for the benefit.
"This was a neat event. I hadn't really been on a bike much since my ride across the country last year, but I wanted to do this event because it's helping a unique charity," said SCHULTZ.
"We are so blessed to have a radio station like KTSY in our region. Not only does this station play great music, but they reflect the heart of JESUS CHRIST in the way they serve the community. Without this financial boost, we would not have considered establishing dental services at our KENYAN partner clinic this year," said GENESIS WORLD MISSION Executive Dir. STEVEN REAMES.
GENESIS WORLD MISSION is an IDAHO-based ministry that runs a charity medical and dental clinic in the BOISE area, and through the work of this KTSY benefit, is building a sister dental clinic in KENYA.
