TED LEITNER and ANDY MASUR will return as radio voices for the SAN DIEGO PADRES on BCA Sports XEPRS-A (XX SPORTS RADIO)/SAN DIEGO next season, with both broadcasters inking renewal deals FRIDAY. LEITNER finished his 29th season with the club on SUNDAY, and MASUR completed a second season at the same time. Both received two-year deals, with the team holding an option for a third season for LEITNER. JERRY COLEMAN is already under contract through 2009.
"XX is proud to have its relationship with the PADRES and to have them as the centerpiece of the broadcast day," said BCA President/CEO JOHN LYNCH. "The historic broadcast team of Hall of Famer JERRY COLEMAN, TED LEITNER and ANDY MASUR is part of the fabric of SAN DIEGO sports."
"I'm very fortunate to be in AMERICA's Finest City with a great franchise and wonderful colleagues including JERRY, ANDY and everyone at the PADRES and XX," said LEITNER.
MASUR added, "I'm extremely excited about continuing my work with the PADRES and the City of SAN DIEGO. I've really enjoyed my two years with the team and XX. I'm fortunate to be able to continue working with two men -- TED and JERRY -- who mean so much to PADRES fans and to the community."
