BROADWAY’S BIGGEST HITS reaches a milestone this weekend (10/4-5) when it marks 10 years on the air with its 520th performance. The two-hour weekly radio show airs on a lineup of stations that reaches from coast-to-coast.
"What began as a local SUNDAY morning show in the desert SOUTHWEST has become a weekly habit for so many theater lovers from CAPE COD to PUGET SOUND. It’s hard to believe it could last so long or inspire such listener loyalty," said WILKINSON, who created the show as a local entry known as SUNDAY SHOWTUNES on KOY/PHOENIX in DECEMBER 1997.
Broadway’s Biggest Hits airs commercial-free, relying instead on support from listeners and grants to cover operating expenses. The program has a web site at www.broadwaysbiggesthits.com.
