WYOMING PUBLIC RADIO has been granted $5,000 by the WYOMING COMMUNITY FOUNDATION to ugrade its emergency broadcasting facilities. The grant will improve the reliability of the STL between the WPR studios in LARAMIE to its transmitter site. WPR's KUWR/LARAMIE is the primary EAS station for its region of the state.
"WPR strongly believes in providing public safety communication to LARAMIE and citizens of WYOMING and takes this responsibility seriously," said WPR GM JON SCHWARTZ. "This grant will substantially ensure a critical link in broadcasting public safety emergency announcements to residents of southeast WYOMING."
