A dispute between TIME WARNER CABLE and its affiliated company BRIGHT HOUSE NETWORKS and LIN TELEVISION left many cable subscribers without some network-affiliated TV stations over cable, but the cable companies made arrangements to carry local radio stations' coverage of NFL football in light of the blackout.
In INDIANAPOLIS, BRIGHT HOUSE NETWORKS' cable system added the signal of EMMIS Country WLHK (97.1 HANK FM)/INDIANAPOLIS to offer COLTS play-by-play, while in BUFFALO, the BILLS game aired on cable via the audio from CITADEL Classic Rock WGRF (97 ROCK)/BUFFALO, the BILLS flagship. LIN TV stations in several markets remained off the cable systems due to a dispute over payments for retransmission consent.
