100 HD Radio Products Now Certified by iBiquity Digital

IBIQUITY DIGITAL CORPORATION has certified more than 100 discrete HD Radio products in a broad range of categories over the last several years. Products for the home and office include clock radios, all-in-one table top sound systems, stereo tuners, high-end home components, transportable units and cordless radios, and iPod docking stations; for vehicles: OEM head units for more than 10 different automotive manufacturers in the U.S. and overseas, aftermarket headunits, tuner boxes to upgrade OEM or aftermarket in-dash radios, and plug'n'play upgrade kits.

1.5 Million Chips Now In Use
Additionally, over 1.5 million HD Radio chipsets have been shipped. Many of the world's top chip makers are building HD Radio chipsets. Leading the way are TEXAS INSTRUMENTS and NXP. These chips have been sent to such module suppliers as ACE DIXXIO, KENSEN, KIRYUNG, KWANG SUNG ELECTRONICS, LG INNOTEK, POWERTECH, SAMSUNG EM, TOKO AND WISTRON NEWEB CORPORATION, whose products are on more than 12,000 retail shelves across the UNITED STATES."We are very pleased with the success of TI's HD Radio chipset in the market and proud to lead the rapid transition from analog to digital radio in the U.S. and around the world," said TI AUTOMOTIVE MEDIA SYSTEMS Product Mgr.
