A PITTSBURGH comedian who produced JOHN MCINTIRE's talk show at CBS Talk WTZN (93.7 THE ZONE) is suing CBS RADIO for sexual discrimination and retaliation after being fired in the station's format change to Top 40 as WBZW (B94).
The PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE reports that GAB BONESSO's suit alleges that after the format change, she applied for an on-air position and was told she would get it, but was then turned down by the PD, she said, who allegedly told her she was "too cerebral," "too hip" and was "not 'girlie' enough because of her hair and how she dressed" and if she "were to look and dress more 'feminine," she would be acceptable" for the job. BONESSO is asking for an on-air position, back pay, and compensatory and punitive damages.
