The U.K.'s CHANNEL 4 is closing its radio division, bringing to an end plans to launch several digital radio channels. The move, which affects 15 staffers, is part of a move by the national TV network to save about 100 million pounds next year, with a reduction in workforce by about 150 jobs across the company's operations.
CHANNEL 4, majority shareholder in digital multiplex licenseholder 4 DIGITAL, planned to launch E4 RADIO, CHANNEL 4 RADIO, and PURE4 as part of the new multiplex.
