Minor league baseball's WILLIAMSPORT CROSSCUTTERS ink a renewal deal to return to COLONIAL RADIO GROUP Sports WLYC-A (ESPN RADIO 1050)/WILLIAMSPORT, PA for the 2009 season. The station has added FM coverage via translator W281AR/WILLIAMSPORT.
"The CUTTERS are pleased with the stations' local ownership and their commitment to local teams on the high school and college level. We want to be part of helping them build their sport presence in the greater WILLIAMSPORT area," said CUTTERS VP of Marketing & PR GABE SINICROPI. "It was great hearing TODD BARTLEY's call of the games night in and night out and we look forward to having him in the broadcast booth in '09."
BARTLEY, who also serves as the station's Sports Director, said, "We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to extend our great working relationship with the CROSSCUTTERS. As the only professional sports franchise in the region, it’s our job to provide them with the best coverage possible and we take that responsibility very seriously."
