ONEREPUBLIC, whose debut album "Dreaming Out Loud" has sold in excess of 1.6 million copies and 8 million singles worldwide, is kicking off their upcoming national tour "Tag This Tour! 2008" with an exclusive auction benefiting CITY OF HOPE, a leading cancer research, treatment and education center.
ONEREPUBLIC will donate memorabilia to be auctioned, including a one-hour songwriting lesson with RYAN TEDDER, the lead singer, guitarist and pianist, who has written and produced for top artists such as BEYONCÉ, KELLY CLARKSON, JAMES MORRISON, JENNIFER LOPEZ, NATASHA BEDINGFIELD and LEONA LEWIS, and an autographed lyric sheet of one of TEDDER’s hit songs.
From OCTOBER 14th-24th, fans can participate in the auction online at www.charityfolks.com/onerepublic and UMG’s eBAY store.
"ONEREPUBLIC represents a new generation of music artists who are joining the fight against diseases like cancer that take too many lives too soon," said MEDIABASE/PREMIERE RADIO SVP/Music Initiatives ALISSA POLLACK. "This auction will allow the band’s fans to bid on a range of items while making a meaningful contribution to the lifesaving research and treatment programs at CITY OF HOPE."
"We are deeply grateful for ONEREPUBLIC’s enthusiasm and support in helping to raise awareness for cancer and other life-threatening diseases," said CITY OF HOPE Associate VP/Marketing STEVE MARTIN. "Their efforts will directly impact the lives of patients at CITY OF HOPE by helping to improve their and future patients’ medical treatment."
