The price for the previously reported sale of WMGG-A/LARGO-TAMPA by MEGA COMMUNUICATIONS to GENESIS COMMUNICATIONS is $3 million, according to paperwork filed with the FCC. GENESIS has been operating WMGG since the deal was announced, moving the Talk programming of WWBA-A to the 820 AM frequency of WMGG.
In other FCC filings, CLEAR CHANNEL and CUMULUS have refiled the forms for the swap of WRQK/CANTON, OH by CUMULUS to CLEAR CHANNEL for WWWW, WTKA-A, WQKL, and WLBY-A/ANN ARBOR, WBCK-A, WBFN-A, and WBXX/BATTLE CREEK, and WRCC/MARSHALL, MI. The original deal was filed in 2006 and approved, but a tower problem for WWWW caused the parties to file for two extensions of the time to close the deal. The filings include the assignment of silent WBFN-A from ALOHA STATION TRUST to CUMULUS, but not the previously reported gift of WBFN to FAMILY LIFE COMMUNICATIONS.
