TALK RADIO NETWORK's LAURA INGRAHAM is added to the lineup of ENTERCOM Talk WRKO-A/BOSTON for 10a-noon ET, replacing local host REESE HOPKINS, effective TOMORROW (10/17). INGRAHAM previously aired on tape delay in BOSTON on crosstown GREATER MEDIA Talk WTKK.
"I am honored and humbled to be joining the legendary WRKO, with its booming signal and unsurpassed reputation for on-air excellence," said INGRAHAM. "For several years, BOSTON has heard me at night, but being on 'RKO live every weekday morning is thrilling. Legions of new listeners will have the chance to laugh and learn along side with me as we fight for our country's political, economic and cultural future. My dad grew up outside BOSTON, and my oldest brother and his family settled here, so in many ways this feels like I'm coming home."
"REESE did an excellent job for us and I certainly wish him well going forward," said ENTERCOM NEW ENGLAND AM Programming & Operations VP JASON WOLFE. "These are challenging times for our industry and we need to adjust accordingly. Having said that, LAURA INGRAHAM is one of the truly outstanding radio broadcasters in the country today, and the success of her program speaks volumes about her. She’s got strong ties to BOSTON and NEW ENGLAND, has tremendous brand equity in this market and will be a fabulous asset to the WRKO programming lineup."
