WESTWOOD ONE founder NORM PATTIZ has resigned from the BROADCASTING BOARD OF GOVERNORS, the panel that oversees international broadcasting projects like the VOICE OF AMERICA, RADIO MARTI, and RADIO SAWA, reports the WALL STREET JOURNAL. PATTIZ, who spearheaded the development of RADIO SAWA and sister satellite TV network ALHURRA in the MIDDLE EAST, was appointed to the board by President CLINTON in 2000.
