METROPOLITAN RADIO GROUP is selling Country KJVC (STAR COUNTRY 92.7)/MANSFIELD, LA to LEON HUNT for $65,000. HUNT previously bought Gospel KTKC (THE LIGHT) and Gospel KBSF-A/SPRINGHILL, LA from METROPOLITAN for $175,000. JAMIE RASNICK of JOHN PIERCE AND CO. served as broker for the KJVC deal.
In another deal brokered by RASNICK, JACK MORTENSON is buying FM translator K273BJ/DALLAS from MARIA CANDELARIA for $200,000. The translator is located west of downtown DALLAS south of IRVING and northeast of GRAND PRAIRIE, with 99 watts at 240 feet above ground level. CANDELARIA acquired the translator from TEXAS CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY as a gift earlier this year and took it silent on MAY 1st.
GUAM BROADCAST SERVICES, licensee of Dance KIJI (RETRO RADIO)/TUMON, GUAM, realigns its ownership structure, with partner GARY W.F. (FRANK) GUMATAOTAO selling his interest in the company to YASUNORI KAWAUCHI for $10,000, TOYOHITO YONEYANA selling his shares to K PROJECT, INC. for $200, and KAWAUCHI selling 399 of his shares to KEVIN HIDEAKI YAMAZAKI (200 shares), SHINEGORI KAWAUCHI (99 shares), RICHARD DE VERA (50 shares), and DUANE QUINTANILLA (50 shares) at $1 per share. The transactions leave YASUNORI KAWAUCHI and YAMAZAKI with 40% interests each in the company. The transactions took place in 2007 but the company did not file the changes until now.
In another deal filed with the FCC, VICTOR A. MICHAEL, JR.'s CEDAR COVE BROADCASTING, INC. is selling FM translator K221EB/GRANBY, CO to COMMUNITY RADIO FOR NORTHERN COLORADO for $10,000.
