SAGA Active Rocker WLZX(LAZER 99.3)/SPRINGFIELD, MA appoints ROB CRESSMAN as PD; he replaces COURTNEY QUINN, who resigned to pursue other interests. ROB recently exited the PD post at ENTERCOM Alternative WMFS/MEMPHIS after 10 years.
SAGA EVP STEVE GOLDSTEIN says, “ROB is a great addition to SAGA. He’s a man loaded with great experience and great ideas.”
“CRESSMAN is seasoned in managing staff, exceeding goals related to market share and station revenue, and carries with him a proven ability to provide creative assistance with client accounts. ROB’s extensive experience and passion for the active rock format is just the right formula to continue building on the success of LAZER 99.3,” adds GARY ZENOBI, VP/GM of the SPRINGFIELD ROCKS RADIO GROUP.
CRESSMAN told ALL ACCESS, "In such challenging times for our industry, it is refreshing to connect with broadcasters who value the merits of experience, integrity, and unbridled creativity. Pros like HARVEY KOJAN and KEITH HASTINGS have long extolled the many attributes of the SAGA family, and I am honored to join their ranks.
"I feel fortunate to begin a new chapter in my career under the guidance of STEVE GOLDSTEIN who is widely acknowledged as one of the best Programming Executives in the business. VP/GM GARY ZENOBI and I have a shared vision for LAZER's future, and his confidence in my ability to move the station forward fuels my desire to reach higher heights in NEW ENGLAND."
