John Ivey Inked To Multi-Year Deal

In the middle of too many cutbacks in the business, it's nice to see one of the good guys staying put. CLEAR CHANNEL/LOS ANGELES RVPP and Top 40 KIIS-FM PD JOHN IVEY has been extended a new multi-year deal to stay put.

Earlier this week, CLEAR CHANNEL announced they were locking up many of their top-tier programming execs (NET NEWS 10/21).

CLEAR CHANNEL/LOS ANGELES Market Pres. GREG ASHLOCK, Market President said, “I am absolutely thrilled and relieved to make this announcement. He is the TIGER WOODS of CHR's. Seriously, I can't think of a person in the country that I'd rather have at the helm. He has built an unbelievable stable of talent. His staff responds to his direction and would go through a wall for him. He is admired and respected by his peers. And he's just a great guy. Oh yeah, let's not forget about the ratings.”
