GREAT MEDIA/BOSTON VP & GM MATT MILLS has announced his retirement, effective APRIL 14th, 2006. MILLS has been with GREATER MEDIA since 2001.
"It has been a great honor and pleasure to work with someone of MATT’s caliber. He is the ultimate professional and I am sad to see him leave, but happy for him and his family. Most people can only dream of the success MATT has achieved in his career," said GREATER MEDIA Pres. and CEO PETER SMYTH.
MILLS will continue to oversee the GREATER MEDIA/BOSTON cluster -- which includes WBOS, WKLB, WMJX, WROR, and WTKK -- until his replacement is named, and will continue to serve as an advisor to SMYTH during the transition process.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my association with GREATER MEDIA and the opportunity to lead such fine radio stations here in BOSTON. The people with whom I have worked are truly the best and an inspiration. They are dedicated to creating the best radio possible and serving the BOSTON community. I will miss them all," said MILLS.
