DOWNTOWN MUSIC PUBLISHING (DMP) has signed a long-term publishing administration agreement with CHECK YOUR PULSE (CYP), the LOS ANGELES-based independent music publishing company founded in 2007 by veteran songwriters SCOTT CUTLER and ANNE PREVEN and rock/pop producer JOSH ABRAHAM. DOWNTOWN will serve as worldwide publishing administrator for all CYP copyrights and provide a range of marketing and creative services.
"I'm very excited to be in the publishing business with CHECK YOUR PULSE," DMP Pres. JUSTIN KALIFOWITZ said. "ANNE, JOSH and SCOTT are some of the most talented songwriters and producers in the music business, and with them we are now mentoring a very promising group of new songwriters. We are confident that DOWNTOWN will add significant value to their operation by creating new and exciting ways to market and promote their growing song catalog."
"We couldn't be happier about our new agreement with DOWNTOWN," ABRAHAM said.
"JUSTIN and his staff offer a perfect combination of admin and collection services coupled with a very pro-active creative team. We are looking forward to working with them to maximize the value of our songs and songwriters."CYP also announced the appointment of RONDA CALL as VP/Creative. CALL previously held the same post at S1 SONGS AMERICA (formerly DREAMWORKS PUB).
