WCTK To Provide Phone Cards For The Troops

HALL COMMUNICATIONS Country WCTK (CAT COUNTRY)/PROVIDENCE morning host TIM LEARY of the “MORNING SHOWGRAM,” tells ALL ACCESS that the station’s newest promotion, “Calling All Troops,” is officially underway . Listeners wrote into the show about their loved ones who are stationed overseas in the military. Originally, planning to “adopt” five units, The SHOGRAM quickly adopted 13 units because of the significant response received.

Starting this MORNING(10/28), and running for the next two weeks, international pre-paid phone cards will be collected for these units. The cards will then be shipped to our men and women overseas. The troops will be able to use these cards to call their loved ones in the upcoming holiday season.

RHODE ISLAND State Treasurer FRANK CAPRIO stopped by one of the WCTK locations and personally wrote a check for $500 for the cause. For more info, reach out to TIM at timleary@wctk.com.
