Chernoff Upped To VP/Programming At CBS Radio N.Y.

Long-time CBS RADIO VP/Sports Programming and Sports WFAN-A/NEW YORK OM MARK CHERNOFF has been upped to VP/Programming for CBS RADIO's NEW YORK cluster. CHERNOFF will add oversight of programming on News WINS-A, News WCBS-A, Classic Hits WCBS-F, Rock WXRK-A (92.3 K-ROCK) and AC WWFS (FRESH 102.7) to his WFAN duties.
SVP/Market Mgr. DON BOULOUKOS said, "MARK has deep roots in the radio industry and has had a long career working at and with many of CBS RADIO's NEW YORK stations. It will be beneficial to our station group to have a leader of MARK's caliber extend his expert capabilities, his understanding of tri-state area listeners and his knowledge of the industry to the diverse programming efforts and popular talent at our top-rated stations."
CHERNOFF's resume includes stops at WNNJ-A-WIXL/NEWTON, NJ, WDHA/DOVER, NJ, WNEW/NEW YORK, WJFK/WASHINGTON, and WXRK before moving to WFAN in 1993.
