ROGERS COMMUNICATIONS CEO TED ROGERS has entered the hospital for treatment of an existing heart condition. ROGERS, 75, has stepped aside as CEO while his treatment and recovery continue; Chairman of the Board of Directors ALAN HORN is serving as interim CEO. ROGERS had triple bypass surgery in 1992 and has a pacemaker and defibrillator implanted in his chest.
ROGERS owns 51 radio stations across CANADA as well as several TV and cable stations, CANADA's largest cable TV operation, its largest mobile phone carrier, several magazines (including national newsweekly MACLEAN'S), and the TORONTO BLUE JAYS.
