Christian Listening Network Announces Promotions And Purchases

The CHRISTIAN LISTENING NETWORK (CLN)/CLINTON, NC announces station purchases, staff promotions and station format changes.
President of CLN, GEORGE E. WILSON, announced the purchase of WGQR(105.7) and WBLA(1440)/ELIZABETHTOWN, NC. WGQR will broadcast a 24-hour Solid Gospel format and WBLA will change to a Oldies and Beach format.
Wilson also announced the promotion of several CNL staffers. DAN DeBRULER has been named GM for all CLN Christian stations. DeBRULER has been with the company for six years and previously was Station Manager for Oldies WCLN/CLINTON, NC and Christian WZKB/WALLACE, NC.
STEVE TURLEY has been promoted to MD and Production Director for CLN. TURELY has been with the company for seven years and was MD and PD for WCLN. Radio veteran JIM MORGAN was promoted to PD for WCLN. MORGAN, a 34-year radio veteran, joined the company last year as morning show.
MARTY WEBB, a FAYETTEVILLE area broadcaster for more than 40 years, is the afternoon personality for WGQR. WEBB has worked at CLN in many capacities over the past several years, most recently hosting SUNDAY NIGHT GOSPEL SING on WCLN.
