BONNEVILLE News WTOP/WASHINGTON reporter AMY HELD is back at work after recovering from being bitten by an interview subject ... a monkey.
The WASHINGTON POST's RELIABLE SOURCE column reports that HELD was at the home of ELYSE GAZEWITZ, whose capuchin monkey ARMANI has become locally famous for his owner's battle to keep him in her home and for the occasional political and sports prediction, when the monkey bit her on her pinky finger. HELD was sent to doctors by WTOP and given a tetanus shot and antibiotics. VP JIM FARLEY told the POST that the case was "the wackiest workman's comp case I've ever had to fill out forms for."
ARMANI chose BARACK OBAMA to win the election.
