CBS News-Talkers See Election Night Boost For Websites, Streaming

CBS RADIO is reporting large increases in audience for its news websites and audio streams for last night's presidential election. The nine stations tracked include WBBM-A/CHICAGO, WCBS-A and WINS-A/NEW YORK, KFWB-A and KNX-A/LOS ANGELES, KYW-A and WPHT-A/PHILADELPHIA, WBZ-A/BOSTON, and KCBS-A/SAN FRANCISCO.
WEBCAST METRICS reports a 66% increase in their streaming average week-to-week, consisting of the average listening audience per hour for the entire day. According to ONESTAT, page views for the news sites increased 55%, while website visits increased 43% over the 24-hour period. KNX saw the largest page view increase (266% week-to-week) and website visit increase (202%). KFWB saw a streaming increase of 170%.
