HARRIS NESBITT analyst LEE WESTERFIELD's latest RADIO AIRTIME MONITOR for DECEMBER shows ads per hour down 7.7% year-to-year in the top 10 markets to 10.1 minutes, with 30 second spots rising almost 18%. CLEAR CHANNEL ad time, behind the company's year-old "Less is More" program, declined 19.3% for the month, followed by SALEM, BEASLEY, ABC, COX, and CBS. The morning daypart showed a 6.5% drop, with afternoon off 8.5%.
