ARBITRON has released a video on YOUTUBE produced by two teams of student interns from MEDGAR EVERS COLLEGE in BROOKLYN, NEW YORK.
The video debuted at a recognition event for the Community Outreach Internship Project, which honored the efforts of the ten students who worked on the video project designed to raise community awareness of ARBITRON and the PPM service. Each student received an honorarium and a plaque noting their participation and achievement.
The video was integrated into an online survey as part of a program to boost community awareness of ARBITRON, PPM and media research in general. The key findings will be analyzed in three different sections: media consumption (level of radio and TV usage), familiarity with ARBITRON (feedback based on pre and post online video screening), and demographics (gender, age, ethnicity, state of residence, income and education levels). The survey results will be used by ARBITRON to shape future community outreach programs.
