WMAC's Krok Adds TV Commentary Duties

CUMULUS Talk WMAC-A/MACON PD/morning host CHRIS KROK adds commentary duties on "13 WMAZ EYEWITNESS NEWS" at crosstown GANNETT CBS affiliate WMAZ-TV. KROK said "I've always wanted to do TV in addition to my daily talk show. I only hope to do more and more TV as the opportunities arise." KROK is posting his editorials at chriskrok.com as well.

KROK also raised money and space heaters for an elderly man and his dying wife who found themselves unable to pay their food and heating bills. A neighbor who works in hospice told KROK about the couple's plight, including their negative bank balance and only getting $17 per month in food stamps, and KROK made an impromptu appeal to listeners for help. Within 10 minutes, listeners donated $1,850 and four space heaters. "This shows the power of radio, even in these tough economic times," said KROK. "It also shows the good we can and should do on an individual level in this great medium."
