ARISTA/NASHVILLE duo BROOKS & DUNN have been ranked second place in CNNPolitics.com's "Duos Of This Election Year," behind OBAMA/BIDEN and ahead of McCAIN/PALIN.

CNN correspondent BOB GREENE writes: "No duo in the history of music may have done anything as smart as KIX BROOKS and RONNIE DUNN did this year, in uncomplainingly allowing their riveting song "Only in America" to be used as a rallying cry by both the OBAMA campaign and the McCAIN campaign. The song became inescapable -- an anthem. And BROOKS & DUNN made it so by being wisely diplomatic when it came to their feelings about opposing political camps leaning on their words and music."
