PAMAL MOR WKLI (MAGIC 100.9) ALBANY, NY is the first to turn on the CHRISTMAS lights in the CAPITAL CITY. WKLI kicked off the CHRISTMAS season at 5p MONDAY (11/10). As it turned out, it was the perfect day to kick off CHRISTMAS music while it was actually snowing in parts of the State Capital and temperatures in the 40s.

PD JAY SCOTT commented, "This year, unlike others, listeners were actually calling to ask when MAGIC 100.9 would turn to CHRISTMAS music. It's incredible the response this year asking for CHRISTMAS music. It's unlike anything I have ever witnessed. I believe the reason for this is that mood of the country has changed considerably over the past several months and radio listeners are searching for that one positive thing to cling onto to make them feel good -- and nothing does it quite like CHRISTMAS."
