WCTY Raises Over 15,000 Pounds Of Food At Annual Drive

That's A Lot Of Food!

Kudos to HALL COMMUNICATIONS Country WCTY/NEW LONDON-NORWICH, CT as they raised over $5,000 and over 15,000 pounds of food at their 10th Annual WCTY FOOD DRIVE. The event kicked off last THURSDAY (11/6) at 5a (ET) at the BIG Y FOOD MARKET in NORWICH and ended FRIDAY (11/7) at 7p (ET).

WCTY morning duo JIMMY LANE and SHELLY MARTINEZ, afternooner DAVE ELDER and night slammer JESSE each broadcast their show live from the parking lot at BIG Y, with the middayer JOHN KNIGHT and overnight personality CHRISTIE reporting the latest updates from the studio. LANE tells ALL ACCESS that despite the economy, both cash and food donations were up this year.

The food and cash donations were given to the GEMMA MORAN FOOD DISTRIBUTION location in NEW LONDON, where it was sorted and delivered to other local food banks. For more info visit www.wcty.com.
