WAWZ, Downhere Celebrate 'Here. I AM.'

PILLAR OF FIRE Christian AC WAWZ (STAR 99.1)/NEW YORK and CENTRICITY MUSIC artist DOWNHERE recently celebrated the station’s SHARATHON 2008 theme “Here. I AM.” at the STAR 99.1 2009 SHARATHON KICK-OFF concert. The band’s current single “Here I Am” served as inspiration for the SHARATHON theme.

DOWNHERE was a guest of “JOHNNY STONE IN THE MORNING” and treated listeners to a performance of “Here I Am.” The kick-off concert included video clips of listeners impacted by the station and stories from air talent.

“A STAR 99.1 SHARATHON KICK-OFF concert represents a new way of thinking about SHARATHON for STAR 99.1. Instead of running full force into the actual SHARATHON, DECEMBER 1st to 5th, 2008, we are inviting new listeners, long-time listeners and donors alike into the stories that are STAR 99.1,” said Station Manager SCOTT TAYLOR.
